Bin collection days are changing across Adur and Worthing from Tuesday, with both councils urging residents to check their new dates. Most households will see their rubbish, recycling and garden waste collections move as part of a reorganisation of rounds.
The councils say the changes are needed to prepare for the introduction of food waste collections and to account for new homes built in the area. In the first week of the new schedule, some households have been asked to put their refuse and recycling bins out on the same day, after which collections will return to an alternate weekly pattern.
Residents can find their new collection day via the councils' mobile app, the bin day lookup tool on the Adur and Worthing Councils website, or by calling the contact centre.
