Bin collection dates are changing across several Cambridgeshire council areas over the New Year bank holiday period. Residents are urged to check their revised schedule to ensure bins are out on the correct day.
In Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire, Wednesday 1 January collections have been brought forward to Monday 30 December. A Greater Cambridge Shared Waste spokesperson confirmed all other collections remain as normal under a four-day collection week arrangement. Green bin collections also switch to monthly rather than fortnightly from 24 December until 4 March. Huntingdonshire residents face delays of one to three days on some collections. In Peterborough, brown bin collections ended on 13 December and will not resume until 14 January, according to Peterborough City Council. Fenland and East Cambridgeshire residents should contact their respective councils for specific revised dates.
