Bin collections over the Easter bank holiday weekend — Good Friday 18 April and Easter Monday 21 April — will go ahead as normal for most households across Portsmouth, Havant, Fareham, Gosport and East Hampshire, according to the Portsmouth News. Residents in those areas should put their bins out by 7am in Portsmouth, Havant and Gosport, before 6am in Fareham, and by 6am in East Hampshire.
Winchester City Council is the exception. Collections run as normal on Good Friday, but from Easter Monday every collection that week shifts one day later than usual. A Friday collection, for instance, moves to Saturday. Winchester residents should have bins out before 6.30am.
Portsmouth, Havant, Fareham, Gosport and East Hampshire have all confirmed no changes to their schedules across the bank holiday period.
